Cheers dude. I thought the mk2 golf ones were the same but it would appear they are around 10mm too short. Ho hum, best get ordering more parts.

This is like reading all your school reports at the one go. :o
BRILLIANT!!!!!!!!!
Makes me wish I was thirty years younger. :(
Keep up the good work it will be worth it in the end.
My wee 1.6 bog standard is still my daily driver with the odd run to Leeds and back thrown in. :D
Look forward to next terms report.

haha cheers bud.
Think I may need to replace the front wheel bearings also:-( They are old and second hand after all.
Hopefully I can get it on the road in the next 2 or 3 weeks.

Front and rear bearings are a pleasure to do.
Even I can do them and that is saying something.
Just a wee reminder of my wee 1.6 having a break at Gretna on her way to Leeds a couple of weeks back.
Any excuse to put a picture in.

Plus I never did find out how they did this ?????????

Yes, and while my car was parked IN the disabled bay ??????????
Workmen were working in the car park when I left my car in it and got the bus to go to Glasgow.
When I returned all the yellow markings were white and the logo had been burnt off under my car.
They took one hell of a chance, lucky it never blew up.

That's outrageous.
I'd have put in a complaint. Anyone came near my car with a blowtorch i'd be having serious words.

Once had a guy cutting curbstones with a large handheld circular saw right in front of our cars at work. He managed to cover the one next to mine in a big thick line of stone dust. We managed to get the company to pay for a detailer to clean the car and remove the scratches caused.
