Well it's about time I spose!

I can't get my computer to boot so i can't access some of my older pictures :(

Got my Scirocco in about 05 and started driving it in about late 06 probably 07. GTII 1.8 8v 92 Flash Red/Pinkish white.

The previous owner of the car suffered a break in via the boot, around the lock was all dented, bent and scratched, this was one of my first jobs, filling it in, with filler.

When I got it it was completely standard, (as far as I’m aware). Even had steelies.
First thing I did was buy some BBS RZ, they were pretty knackered tbh, only paid about £60 for em. They’re in the shed now awaiting a distant future refurb.

Sometime later I bought some Compomotive MO5 15x7.5 second had, they were refurbished, mint. Sadly the garage messed them up a bit putting the tyres on. They’re alright tho. Got 8'' Toyos on them.
I got the anodized blue centre caps and some vinyl letters. They look practically exacly like this, i'll get some real photos up soon :)
Image

As i mentioned the paint is faded, Badly, mainly around the front wings and the entire bonnet, the roof isn't toooo bad. And the boot hatch being tatty round the lock.

This is only pic i can find atm, for old pictures :(
Image

This is a picture of the boot lock after being filled and sanded. (Don't have an original) Update soon!
Image

So here is some new stuff,
Some recent work in progress on the bonnet
Image
Hope you appreciate the masking :D
Image
The scuttle wasn't too bad tbf.
Did a lot of wet sanding on the bonnet!
Image
looks like crap eh  (the pictures do it justice too!) haha

Gave it a lot of primer, you may have noticed the unfinished job at Cosford :D

Doing a lot of stuff in the next few weeks, so i'm sure you'll look forward to the progress. ;)
I'll add some stuff and pics tomorrow too :D

Quick update on today's work.
Which was...
Refurbing the US headlight brackets i'm going to install. Thanks Rohan ;)

One of the brackets is okay
the other was pretty darn rusty and crusty, as you can just about see, it looked worse in rl lol.

So I sanded the hell out of it, it took quite a while, especially with the shape of it, got it pretty smooth tho.
Then i Kurusted the hell out of it too! :D
Image
Image
Yummy

Now this picture is an hour or so later after KURUST had done it's stuff,
Note how black it's gone, and that's just the KURUST! :D
Image

Paint soon! :)

Gonna get these bad boys cleaned up too and hopefully get the set on the car... one day :)
Image

p.s.
Also got these off Stu to go with em!

Finally! clear indies! been meaning to get some for so long! Thanks Stu! :D

Well done keep up the good work.
Good to see someone keeping another on the road rather than the " Just going to break it " attitude.
More pics required.

Thanks for the replies guys, I'm glad you take some interest :D
Quick update for you all,
Not gotten as much done as i anticipated, had lots on, however, here we go.

Got some paint on one of the brackets (the bad one as pictured before) and the front lamp holders.
Image
I'm pretty happy with the result, compare the previous pic to this^ :D
Image

and the lamp holders^

I used matt paint, cus my name is Matt  oh and the fact it gives a (seemingly) flawless finish. Plus i think it looks good, the rest of the black on the car is matt too so i thought these should be as well. :)

Oh and one more thing, as i may or may not have mentioned, i can't remember, I have a full exhaust system just waiting eagerly to go on :D

The 2.5" Jetex system with twin oval 70 by 90mm tailpipes

And when i said full...

Image
A stainless steel manifold too :D

I'm pretty excited

Hi again all,

As promised an update, sorry it's been so long!

Here's some pictures including the wheels as previously promised also

Image
Sorry they're so dirty! dirty breaks!
Image

SO,
As you last saw i was refurbishing the lights, here is some pics of them completed,

Image
Image
Image

A picture before the US lights and clear indicators :)

Image

Installing in progress...

Getting the Indicators on

Image

Putting them in place...

Image

And installed! :D The clear indicators too 8-)

I have yellow caps on the low beam bulbs so they make yellow light, they look pretty cool imo
The yellow glow you can see in the pics is the cap just reflecting off the light reflector, they're not on in the pics.

Image

I got some new suspension installed as i may have previously mentioned. I got the BILSTEIN B12 Pro-Kit. Which contains Bilstein shocks and Eibach springs. It's transformed the car's drive! well pleased with them  :D

Here's some pics...

Image

1 piece of bad news i'm afraid, the exhaust system previously mentioned hasn't been installed yet, the garage I took it to said they would have to take the engine out to change the manifold over. Pretty gutted, wasn't gonna pay the labour for that and can't really do it myself. Still have the system of course, will get ot on someday somehow ;)

Anyways, that's all for now!
Have a great new year all! and I hope you guys enjoyed the update! :D
