Finally splashed out on a :

Battery Disconnect Switch with in line fuse which doubles as a battery drain prevention device (while keeping your clock / memory for the radio) and also an anti-theft device as trying to start the car without it will blow the fuse and switch off all the power..

Does anyone else have one of these?

As some of you know, its been an interesting week!

Clutch cable fell half way to the floor as I was driving on Wednesday and changing gears was near impossible. It was as if I was driving without the cable.

RAC came out, tightened it up, it was better but 2 days later - snap.

I think it actually went in two places.

Luckily I had another cable, called them back out to fit it and now the new cable is happy as larry! Much nicer feeling a new cable, possibly a good investment every 2 years regardless of if its snapped or not!!

Also, you don't realise how bad the current one is until you fit a new cable. Then you wonder why you didn't fit one months ago!
