Leaking boot - 80% rear lights seal, 20% side window seal, take your pick.
It's been a long time coming, now enjoy.

Unfortunately not, it pours from the latch when the boot is opened so it is getting into the actual tailgate somehow.

Have a look at the underside of the latch. There's a little drain hole that always seems to be blocked with wax. Long shot as it's from memory, but would unlocking that hole help?

Thanks Brunty, As you said blocked, it will give an alternative drain point rather than over my head when I open the boot.

Think I am going to have to do some sheeting and testing to find out where it is coming in.

Well got back from leave hoping for a MOT but only to find the garage has not done anything but look at it, (my fault for saying there was no rush?) anyway they have said that it is sound and that once teh brake pipes are done it should easily pass. After almost 5 years another week won't matter.

I guess. FUT has been off the road for 10 years this year! And I think that another week would matter to me ;) As long as it all gets sorted.

I'm glad to see you're all logged in too :)

Nice to be out on the open road again, taking it quite steady and all going well until belt snapped and I had no alternator and waterpump :eh:.
AA to the rescue, new belt fitted. Hope it lasts longer than two days the previous one did, I am hoping it was not fitted correctly or had a fault but tomorrow I am off to get a spare to keep on board just in case.
