New Scirocco owner (1st time VW owner too)

Post by peejay1977 »

Hi all,

After much pondering between a variety of cars, I put an order in today for a new Scirocco R-Line 2.0 TDi (150PS). Delivery will be first week of March (I hope). Never owned a VW before, can't really say why, I've always either had company cars or Fords (don't hate me). Shall be moving from my current 2010 Focus Zetec-S which I've put a lorry load of miles on.

Opted for the Iridium Grey, and added the folding mirrors and cruise control as options, I can't get over the fact it doesn't have cruise as standard.

Anyway, other than that, I'm from the NW (Cheshire) and also ride motorcycles and am an avid amateur photographer. Looking forward to getting the car and getting to know you all.

Been joining all the Scirocco forums so apologies if any of you have seen my intro multiple times lol

Paul.

Hi Paul

Nice choice, I really like that colour. I'm not "in" to cruise control though, I like control :)

So what kind of motorcycling are you in to? My wife and I both ride, this is us on an epic tour last summer down in St. Ives.

I wanted the cruise for those lazy motorway trips lol

And I've had a string of sports bikes, ZX6R, GSXR600, R6 and an R1 but moved onto this last year:

Thanks Hannah! I'm getting very impatient having to wait for my car but I'm sure it'll be worth it lol
