New Boy today

Post by pegasus » Sat Sep 10, 2016 3:20 pm

Have owned a TDi Golf for 9 years and am changing to a Scirocco 1.4 GT (I think) shortly.

Gotcha, they used to have a couple of different versions. There was a twin charged 1.4 that I really like the idea of but it's been replaced by a 2 litre now.

OK. well I'm not as young as I used to be and am very happy with this performance on the test drive.
My first VW was a Golf GTi, followed by another, followed by a 2l Passat Sport (lovely machine) then Golf TDi, and now this Scirocco.
As I said before it's quite amazing how the power output has crept up along the way, that's technology I guess.

The fuel efficiency is also rather impressive with some of these modern engines.

Collected the car today, what a beauty, takes your breath away!!
More than I can say for the Owner's Manual, so long winded, a Quick Start Guide would be so useful.

Nice :) Can't say that I've studied the manual though.

You'll have to submit some photos into the members cars area :)
