yo im new to the site and have just got my self a mk2 gt11 got it off a guy that started doing bits and bobs too it but never finishted any of it so have my work cut out... so might need a bit advice now and agen also help finding some parts.

well its a white rocco
has oz volcanos on at moment
g60 back disks (front hasn't been done)
Weber carb
coilovers
and a few outher wee things so I think its a not bad wee car
I have sorted most of the problems so far eg had to change gearbox bulk head repair for cluch cable got it running driving and now stopping but does any 1 know how good the breaks are as at the moment its got gt11 front and g60 back but breaks are still faily shocking

Put your tech queries up in the tech section so we know you're asking questions. But yeah, bad standard brakes aren't good. They can be pretty decent with a bit of work though. G60 rear discs with standard fronts is a bad idea...

ye iv now got the bits to swap the front to g60 as well thank god lol
I do have pics but not sure how to upload them

Hi and welcome.
When you are used to 80's brakes they are OK but if I had an option I'd go for front disc's.

lol ye had a few 80s cars my self but last few years had some things a wee bit newer been driving the wifes car for a bit (mini cooper s) fast and stops very well haha but my attenshion is on the stopping of the car at the moment as I feel they are not so good just nothing to compare them too that's all :cry: going to swap fronts and see how I get on with that have any of you guys got any good advice for them ??
