GTi International

Post by ianaudia4 »

Next weekend at the Shakespeare County racetrack, Stratford upon Avon.
The Scirocco Register have a stand, I shall be on it all weekend.

Anyone from here attending? If so, come and say hello or even try and get on the stand for what is the biggest VW show in the country.

That's come round quick!

Won't be making it, but hope you end up with the same weather as this weekend!

It is forecasted as good weather. Hopefully get a good turn out of Sciroccos but never have in the past, will take some beating to equal or get more than we did at Volksfling, which is strange considering there are more Scirocco owners on the forums from the Midlands than anywhere else!

Hope the weather and turnout is kind to you Ian.
I have become a big fan of Biggar and the reason is that everyone is so friendly. :D :D
The only one that comes near for atmosphere is Harewood House. :D
We just have scirocco nutters attending and the patter is really good.
We all appear to be more concerned with other members problems than our own and there is always an extra pair of hands if required.
I don't see the point of shelling out £75 quid for a pitch for two cars to turn up. :?: :?:
We would be better having a public vote and award a club prize to the winner as a memento of the occasion.
We did a spur of the moment thing last year and got ten cars at Knockhill for the day, so folks are interested.
I'm waiting for the young team to do something similar this year, failing that we always have BIGGAR 2 this year.
My only thing about Biggar is the judging, cars on trailers, cars with spurious badges in the winners enclosure and habitual winners.
Hope you get the turnout you deserve Ian after all your hard work.
Soapbox away for another few months. :D

Agree with you Sandy about Biggar, it has always been a good and friendly show even when it was held in Doune!

I do find it a bit sad that people take time (unpaid!) to organise a stand for as you say a couple of cars to turn up, considering the scirocco clubs are nationwide, then you see a little regional club tip up with masses of cars!

I do appreciate that we are all busy people and some of the shows are miles away but VW shows must be the most numerous in the country!

I will try my best to get to Biggar 2, I will let you know nearer the time mate.

Look forward to seeing you at Biggar and possibly Hairy House in August.
I am also going to post up a link for Cumbriavag as a few of us have attended this over the last couple of years.
I bet Tony has a passion to visit this again after his "eventful" visit last year. :D

Cracking weekend at Inters, quite a few Sciroccos turned out, today there were 9 on the Scirocco Register stand.

Good new location and fairly pain free to get to.

I didn't take any pictures but there are some on the SR.
